Tanesa Young is a watercolor artist who lives in Petersburg, Alaska with her husband. She loves having coffee with friends, hanging out with her three children and grand kids, gillnetting with her husband, gardening, back yard free ranging chickens, cooking, reading and exploring the beautiful Southeastern islands of Alaska.
The lifestyle of Alaskan’s inspires her painting and often her subjects are that of local flora and fauna, children, fishermen and boats, but almost always with lots of sunlight as it is a coveted aspect of living in a rainforest. Living in Petersburg, Alaska for 48 years, Tanesa young has had a unique upbringing and with that comes a perspective of Alaska’s Little Norway that only comes with time. Her works are displayed on her Facebook page, Firelight Gallery, the Sons of Norway and in homes across the country and world.
We are pleased to present Tanesa Young with 16 new, original watercolors. Her subjects range from landscape to intimate details of natural flora and fauna.
For those who cannot or would rather not attend the show in-person, we will offer a virtual gallery where you will be able to see Tanesa's works. This will go live and link posted Friday in conjunction with the in-person show.
Sales will be made available first to those who attend in person. We apologize for any inequities for those who are unable to come on Friday. Afterwards, any unsold pieces will also be available for purchase online.
While our early advertising has stated that this show will be by appointment in small pods, we are still finalizing the details and the format is still evolving.
We will abide by the Borough protocols on masking indoors. We will limit the crowding inside. If we go with an open format, we may ask guests to wait outside if the inside capacity does not allow for adequate spacing.
Please check back here and on Facebook for any further updates leading up to the show.
