Recent events have forced us to examine alternate means of offering custom framing services. Depending on the your comfort level with allowing us to design the project, we can provide most of the design steps through electronic communications means such as e-mail, text, and video chat. What you see below is one example of how it works (scroll horizontally to view gallery and explanations).
These steps can minimize or even eliminate the amount of time spent in the shop. Ultimately it is probably best to come in at the end so we can take the proper measurements and you can see the design with physical frames and matboards.
One thing that you could do is drop off the actual piece you would like framed, and we can work with that. That will eliminate a bunch of the steps involved in a near-total virtual framing process.
Lastly, we could get all the design ready for finalization when restrictions and risks ease. At that point you can bring in the art and we can physically put the design together for you to approve.
At the moment (March 31, 2020) under the Alaska State's "essential businesses" clause, we are able to comply with the requirements to qualify under II.b.vi.20 as an essential business, allowing limited customer interaction in the store. This may change as new mandates are issued and implemented. Please make an appointment if you need an in-person consultation.
March 30: Larson-Juhl, one of our suppliers, has temporarily ceased all North American operations. We can still put together designs to be ready for an order when operations resume.
